For Father's Day we went to the Toledo Zoo with my parents. In the Fisher Price A to Z area you could walk in pet and brush some goats. Mackenzie never hesitated and walked right in and started to pet them. At one point she laid her head on one goat and said, "aww." It was priceless! One of the goats nibbled on her dress, don't know if he thought those were real flowers or what? Mackenzie really enjoyed brushing them, she wasn't too happy watching me take the brush and put it back in the bucket!!
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck
